Conversations of Regret

I’ve created a monster!’

A creative conversation about high hopes and technological realities.

The 13th of October is International Day of Failure, a day put aside to celebrate our failures and subsequent lessons learnt and resilience discovered.

This year the International Day of Failure happens to lie on Friday the 13th of October. What better way, on such a date, to examine failure and technology than to look at a famous gothic novel – Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein – which revolves around a disastrous experiment.

Using the archetypes of monster and mad scientist, this discussion has been designed to holistically tap into participants’ imagination, emotional intelligence, and intellect, for generative effect. Join us for an immersive experience and discover insights into how narratives behind technology, risk, and failure affect our own perceptions of working online.

Please note: It is not necessary to have read the book to participate. However, if you would like to read it (and it’s good!) then it is available for free on the Project Gutenberg website.

Please note: This conversation will be recorded, and excerpts used for the MindMersion podcast, produced by Howard Errey and Romaine Logere.

Date: Friday, 13 October 2023. Time TBC. Duration: 1.5 hours.

Attendance is by invitation only. If you would like to be put on the waiting list, then please contact me here.
