Storytelling for Collaboration

Presented on behalf of the Centre for Unusual Collaborations

An online creative workshop about exploring the collaboration mindset

6-8pm AEDT / 9-11am CEST. Online.

Collaboration is often talked about as if it is a magical process, an alchemical melding of brainpower and willpower that yields amazing outcomes.

Well, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. Collaboration may be alchemical, but it is also hard work and carries no guarantees of success.

Understanding the collaboration mindset is essential before embarking on a creative project, especially if teams are interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary. Teamwork requires individuals to deliberately shift into thinking and imagining collectively. This can be both inspiring and challenging.

This workshop uses the power of storytelling to help participants to explore the collaboration mindset and how it might be applied to their projects while allowing them to experience using their creativity to make connections and find common ground with others.
